What spring feeds the waters coming out of the corner of the Mouth of Truth? In John 7:38 we read "He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." Matthew informs us in 15:18, saying "But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man." Is the Mouth of Truth speaking life-saving information into Bretschneider's Ear or is it whispering poisonous denunciation of his neighbor?
